Our Meetings

We normally*** meet on the second Monday of every month in the Church Hall
(the old school behind the church) AT 7:30 FOR 9:00.

Now I probably need to explain that bit. We do the Society business from about 7:30pm until about 9:00. We then go to the pub for some or all of the rest of the evening - hence 7:30 for 9:00.

Meetings are semi formal and are basically designed to send our secretary round the bend (sorry - further round the bend). He has to try to take minutes and decipher who is saying what, why, and whether it is relevant to the current debate or not.

Somehow we get the next event organised, deal with correspondence etc etc. Seems dull the way I describe it but the meetings are fun and interesting.

Every year at the AGM, and sometimes during the year, we give away any surplus cash that we have to local and national good causes. Our members do the society's work for nothing and so our expenses are small.
